In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, my father, Sam Gordon Sr., relocated to Austin, Texas to help families rebuild. He did not have big trucks or a large company behind him. He drove an old Mercedes, going door to door, meeting homeowners face to face, and helping them restore their homes. That Mercedes became a symbol of hard work, resilience, and the willingness to show up for people when they needed it most. That is where the name Mercedes Roofing comes from.

As I grew up, I watched my father work tirelessly. I learned roofing firsthand, not just how to install a roof, but how to treat homeowners with honesty and respect. I learned that this business is not just about shingles and materials. It is about protecting families, earning trust, and standing behind your work.

Over time, my father brought our family to Colorado, where I continued learning and eventually took on a larger role in the company. Today, I carry forward everything he taught me. With experience working across Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana, I have helped homeowners navigate insurance claims, restore storm damaged roofs, and protect their homes properly.
